What is the spatial resolution of the distributed fiber optic vibration monitoring system?

The spatial resolution is related to your optical pulse parameter setting, which is set according to the monitoring length of the fiber optic cable. 40km distance we can achieve 5m spatial resolution.

Our company is an upstream manufacturer of distributed fiber optic vibration monitoring systems, mainly providing hardware modules and acquisition cards. For our hardware modules, we usually do not mark the spatial resolution, because the resolution has a lot to do with the parameters you set for the laser. 

You can set different laser pulse parameters according to the length of the detected fiber optic cable. According to our experience, we are able to achieve 5m spatial resolution and 5m positioning accuracy for a 40km long distance monitoring project.
