YB Photonics Releases 4 edfa Amplifiers

We are going to release four EDFA module products.The four products are pulsed EDFA, small signal EDFA, EDFA+Raman amplifier, and EDFA+PIN detector.

We have made EDFA amplifiers for distributed fiber optic sensing systems into separate modular products for more fiber optic sensing and optical communication customers.

The pulsed EDFA mainly realizes the amplification of pulsed optical signals.The pulsed EDFA mainly realizes the amplification of pulsed optical signal, which is used more in fiber optic sensing system. Pulsed light is usually a modulated optical signal with weak power, which leads to the inability to transmit too long distance in optical fiber, so the pulsed signal needs to be amplified to obtain greater capability to achieve longer transmission distance.

The pulsed EDFA + Raman integrated module is amplified once by EDFA and then the optical power is further amplified by Raman amplifier to achieve longer transmission distance.

Small signal EDFA that can amplify the weak light below -40dbm, generally used as a preamplifier for detection. When combined with a PIN detector, a high signal-to-noise ratio detector module is formed. Small signal amplifiers have the feature of temperature adaptability compared to APD photodetectors, which are more susceptible to temperature affected functions.
